The area outside the globe reflects the Italian words "Zona Fredda Settent", "Zona Temp Settent", "Zona Torrida", "Zona Fredda Merid", and "Zona Temp Merid". This relates to the northern and southern zones on the globe.The globe is in overall great condition.
