This summer Camp will run for 3 weeks on Wednesdays in July starting July 9th, 16th and 23rd. In this class you will be making a 4x6 framed fused glass scene and a 3x3 scene.
Week one: Participants will be deciding what kind of scene to create and creating the components for your scene. Jocy, resident glass artist, will walk you through using different fused glass techniques including making components using techniques freeze and fuse, and stringer bars.
Week two: Participants will be cutting stringer bars, and glass to make dots and shapes, also cutting and grinding shapes for more of your components for your two pictures.
Week three: Base glass selected and cut, and assembling your pieces to go into the kiln for one more firing.
Projects will be ready for pick up after July 28th. Please wear closed-toe shoes. Ages 12 & up. Class time from 1pm-2:30pm.
