Nate Elarton started carving wood in 2007. A friend introduced him to carving. He says "I ran a chisel through some cedar and just got very interested in woodcarving. I have carved on and off since then but the last few years have increased my carving and my interest has grown.
I enjoy everything about carving. I love the learning, the planning of a project, and seeing that project finished. I love the carving community, friendships, and new people to meet.
Woodcarving has been a gift to my life. I can’t draw or paint a picture, but I love carving one."
